The idea and concept that I chose to develop, is the concept of nature. Nature is very important to me and grounding for my spirit. This may sound whimsical for some, but as a person that does not identify with a certain religion, I find comfort in the constant that forests and oceans offer. I discarded the following concepts:womanhood, love, creation, destruction and uncertainty. I discarded these ideas due to realising that I do not resonate or feel deeply moved as much as I do when discussing nature with its sustainability. Womanhood still confuses me and is a sensitive subject for my being, therefore will not be delved into. Love is something I do not quite understand and feel very ambiguous about. Creation is chucked out, because I doubt my creative skills very much and it is an insecurity of mine. Destruction and uncertainty have the same reason of being eliminated – they both represent what I believe is the ruin of all relationships, and that includes the relationship that I have with the world around me. If I become too caught up within these two elements, I will succumb to negativity. And, to be quite frank, I would prefer not to indulge in those feelings. I will be using the random technique, and the mind-mapping technique when expanding the idea of nature.
